That’s okay—and very common. Many clients begin not knowing what they need to say. That’s why we use art as our starting point. It allows your feelings to come forward gently, in ways that words sometimes can’t.How is this different from traditional talk therapy?
While talk therapy focuses primarily on conversation, therapeutic art engages your whole self—mind, body, and emotions—through creative expression. We still talk, but art gives us another way in. It helps you access deeper insights and release feelings you may not even have words for.
What materials do I need?
You’ll receive a simple list of suggested art supplies before we begin. Most materials are easy to find—like watercolour, pastels, glue, or paper—and you’re welcome to use what you already have. We work with what’s accessible to you.What if difficult emotions come up during a session?
That's part of the process, and you won’t be alone in it. I’ll be right there to support you and help you move through it safely. Together, we create space for all your emotions—without judgment and at your own pace.
